As reported by Propel on Saturday, the Kornicis Group, owner of Jamies and Smollensky’s branded bars and restaurants principally located in the City of London and Canary Wharf, has been sold to a new management team led by Richard Stringer and Ian Banks and backed by Isfield Investments.

We were delighted to have been instructed by the new management on licensing due diligence as part of the acquisition and we look forward to working with Richard Stringer and his team going forward as he looks take forward their ambitious expansion and roll-out plans.

The due diligence work was led by partner Katharine Redford who commented that ‘as a firm we regarded this as an important and much valued instruction and is a further indication of our significant presence in the London licensing marketplace’.

This follows on from our recent instruction by the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden on its multi-million pound project ‘Open Up’.
